Target ZERO: achieved also in 2017

We have achieved our TARGET ZERO goal for health and safety also in 2017: over 1,400,000 hours worked without accidents.

After the excellent and similar result already achieved in 2016, also year 2017 ended in the name of safety. Twelve months without a recordable incident is a significant achievement, especially as the sectors we work in expose our employees to some of the most difficult locations and processes. As a team we have proved again that safety is a priority and a central value of our organisation.
The drive for zero has focused on empowering employees to take charge of their safety as well as the safety of co-workers, through extensive HSE training and communication at every level, from field service technicians to the leadership team.

We want to thank all our employees, collaborators and Clients for their outstanding daily commitment and dedication.

EHS DAY 2017

The EHS DAY 2017, held at ITIS High School in Pisa, has successfully concluded yesterday, 9th May 2017.
The atmosphere was electric and vibrant and more than 1000 students coming from primary and secondary school attended with vivid interest and curiosity.

During the conference our Technical Director reinforced the paramount importance of safety in all working environments and explained our safe work practices. While the seminar was taking place several side events were held in smaller rooms so we had the possibility to present our activities and talk about safety concepts, PPE, safety signage, and typical risks when working at height.

In the external area our qualified scaffolder team arranged a practical demonstration focusing on hazards associated with working at height, fall arrest protection equipment and a breathtaking emergency rescue session in collaboration with the Pubblica Assistenza di Pisa.
Students were impressed by the knowledge and practical skills required to safely perform in these kind of activities.

It has been a magnificent event which we have been thrilled to have endorsed.
We would like to thank Istituto Italiano per la Sicurezza (IIS) for creating such a wonderful event, all guests and students who took part and, of course, our very special team.

Termisol Termica Partner of the EHS DAY 2017

We have partnered with the EHS DAY 2017, the event dedicated to Health, Safety and Environment and promoted by Istituto Italiano per la Sicurezza (IIS).
The event will take place on 9th May 2017 in Pisa and will focus on safety at work and at home, aiming to enhance a positive safety culture, and rising awareness among young people and children.

The event is completely free and will see the participation of over 200 young and students, institutions, professionals and representatives of small, medium and large businesses.
During the morning there will be a special meeting dedicated to safety at work – where we will attend – and a series of educational courses run by young students during the rest of the day. These courses will be held through the methodology of the “Peer Education”, a highly innovative and effective strategy that has recently emerged in Western schools where young people play a powerful role in educating their peers – by providing relatable and advice – and by acting as role models.
The Istituto Italiano per la Sicurezza (IIS) has applied this methodology  to safety (Safety Peer Education) trying to challenge preconceptions in this field.
